Hazard Warning Labels & Dangerous Goods Placards (Warning Diamonds)

When dangerous goods are transported by road, rail, sea or air, regulations state that all packages must bear a hazard warning label. These labels must be in the form of a 100x100mm square, set at a 45° angle (a hazard warning diamond).

Transport units such as tanks or containers that carry dangerous goods must also carry warning diamonds, but on a larger scale - these are known as Dangerous Goods Placards and they must be a minimum of 250mm square.

Package Labels and Dangerous Goods Placards for dangerous substances are divided into nine different classes and each class has a danger sign to show its major hazard. Classes 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are further sub-divided. Our product range also includes ‘Dangerous for the Environment' and ‘Limited Quantity’.

All of our Warning Diamond Labels and Placards comply with IATA, IMDG, ADR/RID International legislation and are manufactured from materials that fully meet BS5609 standards.

We also supply warning diamonds at 200x200mm for UK road shipments, 300x300mm for markets in the USA and labels with blank UN boxes and boxes containing specific UN numbers.

All of our hazard warning labels and placards can also be supplied on magnetic and metal backings.

Stock-Xpress offers hazard warning diamonds on rolls, for ease of use, and we also provide individual cut diamonds at a price that can’t be beaten. These high spec warning diamonds are silkscreen printed onto gloss white vinyl and are an excellent and cost effective way to label your packages and containers.

If you are unsure about the different cut formats of labels we supply, see here.
